Inspired by the founders’ shared memories of home-cooked meals and family traditions, it goes beyond the table to include workshops, storytelling, and creative rituals—like vision board making—followed by comforting three-course meals. The brand celebrates heritage, shared experience, and the joy of gathering.

My Grandma’s Kitchen needed a brand identity that could bridge the gap between tradition and modernity—honoring ancestral roots and familial warmth, while appealing to a younger audience fluent in memes, moodboards, and aesthetic culture. The challenge was to build a brand that felt heartfelt, familiar, and fresh all at once—something that could live both around a dinner table and on Instagram.

  • Brand Messaging & Tone of Voice - Developed a warm, welcoming tone that blends familial comfort with contemporary relevance, ensuring accessibility for a younger audience while honoring heritage.

  • Logo - A hand-drawn wordmark that evokes the intimacy of a handwritten recipe card or note from grandma, rooted in storytelling and love.

  • Colour Palette - A rich blend of earthy neutrals (think warm beige, terracotta, olive) with vibrant accents (like turmeric yellow or chili red) for a balance of groundedness and freshness.

  • Typography - A mix of charming serif fonts with expressive, handwritten type to echo both elegance and personality.

  • Graphics - Patterns inspired by vintage tablecloths, ceramic dishware, and classic recipe scrapbooks. Visual motifs include herbs, utensils, and generational food icons.

  • Social Media Design Kit - Crafted templates and assets for event promotion, storytelling, and food imagery that carry the brand’s warmth and personality into the digital space.
